How did your tool addiction begin?

Taking Diesel Mechanics at the local trade school around 95-96 started collecting tools and storing them in my closet in a laundry basket for the day I would need them.. Started going on the trucks shortly after school and I have been blinded by chrome ever since.

    Wilton Bash Hammers

I called once and then emailed. They emailed me with their answer and I responded. After I responded to this email I received another email from another rep with the previous one copied on it so I believe it was escalated. After one call and two emails Im not going to worry about it any more...

    Wilton Bash Hammers

Have one of the 14lb Wilton Bash Hammers. Recently the unbreakable handle started to twist out of the head. I called Wilton and requested they replace it. Wilton says unless I have a record of purchase(that I dont have) they cant do anything for me. This is the second hammer like this that I...

I would go with the ones you think will be the easiest to get warranty on. I like these but its only a matter of time before you will need the warranty.

    Flexzilla air hoses??

Cleaning I`m sure will shorten the life of any hose but but all things being equal the Flexzilla holds up nicely to cleaning without turning stiff as a broomstick. Although it was always still dirty after cleaning, just hit the high spots.

    Flexzilla air hoses??

I have used these extensively and recommend them highly. They are much more flexible and hold up quite a bit longer than any hose I have ever used. As an added bonus it seems like you have found a good deal at 35 dollars. The ones I bought were around 50 to 55 bucks.

    Plomb video on youtube

Speaking of Plomb I ordered a bunch of the pebble wrenches on Ebay. I have actually used these quite a bit. The open ends are still very tight and the box ends are thinner wall than any other wrench I have seen. I recommend these if you are into old wrenches.

Milwaukee M12 1/4" impact: Do you need to use impact sockets?

If I had it to do over again I would go with a GP master impact socket set 1/4 drive but have used chrome for years now with no breakage. Used on Makita impact driver with a bit over 60 ft lbs torque.

    Tools for a diesel tech?

Straight and angle die grinders. If you dont buy your tools now I would recommend setting aside some money for when you get out of school. You may not know what you need now but one thing is for sure, you will need to buy tools. P.S. Some good brand of 3/8 swivel impact sockets are a must have...
