    Thanks Iron block. I’ll make sure the lights are isolated from the frame. Both the headlight and taillight have positive and negative leads.

    Thanks all. To clarify, the unit is purpose built to provide about 12v-18v depending on engine RPM. The person selling the units said the LEDs will be brighter if run on DC. The LEDs require 12v. I’ll probably go with something like this for simplicity.
