It would probably be better to go ahead and replace the whole shaft. If its like my Chevy the boots are half the price of the shaft. And it doesn't look that good in there. sent from android mobile

Mine has been good so far. I tried mine on semi lug nuts right out of the box and your laugh us right on the money. Mine is also excellent on the battery I have not had to charge it after multiple tire rotations and a brake job. sent from android mobile

Iirc impact sockets are softer than chrome sockets so that they don't shatter with impact use.

First tool truck I got on was the local cornwell truck. I'd been working at the shop for 4 years and really only knew craftsman tools. When I found out how much better snap on and cornwell tools are I couldn't get enough. I've spent quite a few pay checks on the tool truck since.
