Thanks for the nice comments. I'm worried about security so I decided against any windows or extra doors, I did fit a couple of clear roof sheets but even then, im fitting security grills under them and also adding some motion sensors that will be linked to the house alarm.

Just do what you can to build the shell, dont give up. i found buying threaded bar, nuts and washers to be cheaper than bolts, got them from screwfix for under £20. If you can get the walls up they can be sealed later and at least you'll have a secure perimeter around the bug as a starter, then...
