Wilde Tool & Forge Co., Hiawatha, Kansas

I seem to have acquired two pair of the bent nose pliers. I believe the one with the WILDE-KCMO logo is very early. It also does not have the rope knurled handles, and different finishing grinds.

Wilde Tool & Forge Co., Hiawatha, Kansas

OH - I love it when hobbies overlap! I have a general interest in (of course) tools, and also tool/industrial companies in the Kansas City (both Missouri and Kansas) generally where I now live, and a more than passing interest in mil-surp firearms. It all came together with my recent...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

The long drought has ended - 3.5" Wilton Shop King. From an emergency garage sale today - the Previous Owner suddenly passed away and the family was trying to clean out the apartment in just a few days. Really dirty and lots of coats of paint. Missing the pipe jaws, and has an inch missing...

    Show your "Long C" Craftsman!

A moment of silence please for the suitcase that gave up its handle for the pseudo restore of the Single Latch Vintage Craftsman Socket/Ratchet set above. Handle is too long, but looks great. Suitcase is full of "really bad" bathroom cleaning products as "they" left the rental (not mine/ours).

1/2" Coupler for Craftsman non-reversing Ratchet

This 1/2" Drive non-reversible ratchet is from a recent tool box find. It is missing the coupler that makes it useful! Prefer Craftsman H-Circle, but any/no brand is OK. Picture shows the ratchet.

    Show your "Long C" Craftsman!

Never ceases to amaze me what is randomly out there to be found. This H-Circle ratchet set was CHEAP - the booth owner said it had been in storage for years, and it needed to be gone - I said OK! I need to research the archives a bit on what should have been in it from the start - but the...

Greenfield Tap and Die (GTD) Tap Wrenches

Well - I looked closer briefly before my appointments this evening. There is a wear ring at the lower end of the notches, and the lower part does insert into the upper part - BUT - the set screw with dog that fits into the groove on the inner part is offset by the amount shown in the picture...

Greenfield Tap and Die (GTD) Tap Wrenches

I have a Greenfield GTD 338 Tap Wrench. The ratchet mechanism was broken and parts missing, so put a 3/16" pin in so I can use it. The appearance is different than what I see by searching on-line and on CG with the square openings showing. Is this put together or a different version or even...

Thanks. Someone in the distant past had painted it blue, and being different is OK so I did too. And yes, Pat Pen and I knew that!

Yep - the pins are one of the "Great Mysteries of Life". Took me a LONG time to figure it out - it was a single low pin as well, although broken
