I have a little patch of the dark gray epoxy-coat basecoat that fell on my cardboard during application. It is very hard, harder than my clear, I believe. If I was trying to save cost and still have a good looking, oil proof finish, I would just go with the base color.

so far, no yellowing for me, but 1; I'm not there all the time and 2; it faces the North-East. My Bronco II did leak some motor and ****** fluid on it, but that wiped right up with no discoloration. Yeah!

so, no concrete before garage at all? I have gravel road, then concrete pad, then garage. It should not punch through a quality epoxy, but I'm expecting scratches for sure.

Prep looks great. Was there any expiration dates on your product?

your right on the Sikaflex. I epoxy'd over the first section after 24 hours and it bubbled. Another section after 3 days and it was good.

Sorry for your loss. My dad died back in 96, but recently with moving stuff to the new garage I've been opening up all the wood boxes he made for all his tools in the last years of his life. Still brings a smile to my face when i see little things he bound together with string or old innertube...
