Interesting story. Despite their popularity in this country they never seemed to make it onto the race and rally circuit in any kind of numbers. Unfortunately Peugeot pulled out of the country prior to the launch of popular models like the 205 and 106 etc. Would love to have owned one.....

Thanks, saw a few links here and there to WM parts on ebay. Is very expensive to ship to SA though, so might just make up something myself down the line.

After years of searching I finally stumbled upon one for around $20. Very good nick, all the rubbers are still present on the feet and corners etc. Unfortunately missing the plastic "locks" that insert on top.

Customer in the US needed one, but I did not know if they sell them over there. But thanks to GJ the problem was sorted pronto. :thumbup:

Nope, only open on the short side. I speak for those I see here in SA, not sure of the Facom made ones though.
