Oh, I definitely meant hiring a reputable company. Ah, so it would be a lot more expensive than running all new ducting?

    Retrofitting Radiant Floor Heating

Saw some videos on youtube that make it look easy but ... Does retrofitting radiant floor heat work out well in the existing 1st floor of houses with unfinished basements? House shopping in the 1500-2000sqft range in the northeast and a lot of these old house have really old furnaces and some...

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

Was rushing to finish up a wooden six pack holder for a gift. Had to pare off a tiny bit of wood on one of the dividers. Instead of clamping down the piece, I just held it with my hand. Since I was applying lateral pressure of course the chisel goes flying into my other hand when trying to...

They sell shop air cleaners that mount on ceiling for woodshops. That or put your dust collector outside and enclose it , and duct it inside. Or maybe, can you exhaust out basement window, create negative pressure when you are making sawdust? https://wilkerdos.com/2018/09/entryway-table-3/...

    Polyurethane on prefab shed floor?

Thanks Platonic, they did a real nice job. That gives me a much better understanding of process and cost. Trying my hardest to find a house to buy with 1-2 car garage, but may have to have shed or garage built if I find one without that I can't pass up with level land.

    Polyurethane on prefab shed floor?

Nice, a fellow nutmegger. I'm in Norwalk. Did the PA company put that gravel down or did you do it yourself? Do you just dig out the grass, gravel and rough level? You don't need a permit for something that small right? Sorry for all the questions, considering doing something similar...

Not Toyota, but I've even had other brand service departments tell me a known issue not covered until I printed out and gave them their own TSB. Then they fixed it for free lol.

Improving wifi signal and strength to shop?

What are you using in the shop and how often? Can you just hotspot your cell phone and use that? Might be the simplest solution if you don't use it often and especially when you only get 25mbps from your coax.

Found a treasure a Columbian Leg Vise

I like evapo-rust. For big areas that you can't submerge, soak paper towels in the evapo-rust and wrap around, then layers of saran wrap or garbage bag so it doesn't evaporate.

School me on Tankless combo systems

Very cool setups, thanks for the explanation. I'll probably be stuck with whatever setup is in what I buy if it's in good running condition, but I'll definitely will shoot for NG instead of oil. The price difference is so huge here. And if I ever need to replace or split into two boilers for...

School me on Tankless combo systems

Super interesting, Thanks for the info! So for condesnsing boilers, what would be better than a retrofit, radiant floor? Is there a type of baseboard radiator for condensing boilers that are more efficient than the retrofitted radiators/basboards mentioned?
