    I'm still thinkin' about that. The floor in the store part consists of two layers of half inch plywood sitting on 2x6's. The 2x6's sit directly on the concrete base. This base is about seven inches below grade and fills up with water every spring. As a result, it's quite rotten and has to...

    The latest project. See that little window there, on the South side of the garage? From the inside, it's in a little 5'x6' room. The floor is rotten and caving in. There's a hole, in the ceiling, to access a storage area. To the right, there's a washroom.

    Here's some more. There was a pre existing 8" hole in the wall. So I removed the insulation that filled the hole and stuck in a piece of 8" duct. On the inside, I built a small paint booth. There's a 7" fan attached to the backside. Later on, I installed a proper hooded vent.

    Well, before the insulation was added to the block walls, the blocks tended to stay at the outdoor temperature. So the stove would heat the air, but as soon as you left for the day, the temperature would immediately plummet. Also, the ingress of outside air, was unimpeded by the old windows...

    I don't think I said either. :headscrat There's two concrete screws per panel with foam on the backside and joints. The panels were 22" x 32".

    Now, about that old furnace with it's B-vent chimney. When the gas guy came to reconnect gas to the garage, he held his hand over his eyes and said, "if I could see that there was a B-vent chimney, I'd have to tag this furnace out." :) So a few months later the wind blew it down. A sure sign...

    Here I've removed the furnace room celing and interior wall. If I had known how to lay block...but now I do. :)
