    Lift decisions are agonizing.

I have 3 BP HD-9s at my house and they operate without a hitch. Got that sliding jack support - it is just a hunk of steel that i never used. I would suspect that the supplier you are buying the lift from will cut price down to virtually nothing for it. The plastic trays?? The vendor told me his...

Harbor Freight 13 drawer tool boxes $271.99

Re: Comparison I have 2 six drawer, ball bearing slide griplatch C boxes and the HF 13 drawer is much heavier/better gauge on the metal. the HF box at the usual $359 sale is a better box for way cheaper money.

    anyone have classic car insurance?

I am an attorney, so I was naturally fussy about the coverage for a dozen or so collector cars. Turns out that none of the collector car companies mentioned would cover me as I disclosed that i drive my cars to work on sunny days (in Tucson, that is quite frequent). Covered parking, short drive...

    Bendpak v. Revolution four post

I have the Bendpak HD - 9ST with rolling jack. Can't imagine a better, more reliable set-up. I can't speak to the weight issue, but the HD - 9 is as beefy and sturdy as you could ask for. Getting ready to order a second one for my garage this week. Jim Harrison

    Liftmaster 3800 Is Great!!!

Re: Liftmaster 3800 Is Great!!! (sort of) It is both a door and opener issue and how they relate. the door is 8' high and, as i said, has some camber when the temp soars in direct sunlight. It loses the camber when temps drop. the high temp condtion in direct sun causes the door to press up...

    BendPak - the best

Ah, I appear to have accidently touched a nerve here. I didn't notice the tag line on Jimval's posts "(2) Pro Park 9 plus lifts (wider than wide)." Ouch! No wonder that he went running for the posting rule book when reminded yet again of that ill-considered purchase decision. Well, we have...

    Liftmaster 3800 Is Great!!!

Re: Liftmaster 3800 Is Great!!! (sort of) I have had mixed results with the LM 3800. My garage has 4 doors, respective widths are 18', 9', 20' and 20'. All doors have rusted sheet metal screwed to the outside of the door. this is a common design treatment on high end residences in the...

    BendPak - the best

Although some of this info appears on another thread, my recent dealings with BendPak were so exceptional that I wanted to make sure that everyone at this forum had a chance to hear. I purchased a BendPak HD9ST lift and while installing we discovered some misalignment of bolt holes. We ended up...

    Bendpak HD-9/HD-12 Lift Question

I am happy to report the results of a conversation I had today with Jeff Kritzer, senior VP at BendPak. Jeff heard on this forum about the problems I had with misaligned bolt holes and contacted me to work this out. It turns out that BendPak beefed up these lifts with the addition of some...

    Bendpak HD-9/HD-12 Lift Question

Well, I would not say that Bendpak has addressed the issue yet. I cut out the bolt and pulley holes so that all would fit, and i have asked for a stamped engineer's letter that this does not impair the integrity of the lift. Forget the delays, forget my time - just give me an engineer that says...
