I've never had to replace the handle on my estwing hammers. :) I know many probably don't like them, and I think it is justifiable. They definitely have a different feel and balance, but for most things they are fine. If I was framing with a hammer all day (does anyone even do that anymore?)...

I may be in the minority here but I've never liked the idea of using cordless tools for jobs that could get them drenched in oil. This is a situation where I would much prefer to use an air impact (whether an impact is appropriate I will leave up to you).

I have the dcr025 and I can't complain about much. It is a little bulky but not bad. It seems pretty durable and water resistant. Sound is good. My wife uses it more than me since I have a permanent setup in the garage.

my belt grinder has something that looks like that as a backer for the belt.
