Here are the pics. I can go a little deaper but, we are trying to use the same screw and those top threads are where it grabs the most If I tap without threads there, wouldn't that section need to be a bigger size? And if so, I would need a bigger screw, right? I think I may just get a time...

The mounting point ON the air compressor for the discharge pipe has half the threads missing. I can get a photo soon.
