Given the relatively low cost of most hammers, I'm not really interested in having to screw and unscrew faces from them. I'm not so container for space that having one hammer chassis with a bunch of swappable faces would be an advantage. YMMV.

Have you forgotten incandescent drop lights? Even my utter **** $2.00 HF blue LED work lights have a longer usage expectancy (easily 4 hours continuously with cheap AA batteries), and won't burn you or fail when dropped three inches onto concrete. Of course, if you need to illuminate a big area...

I don't see the point of using an expensive piece of steel plate and then gluing melamine to it. I'm not seeing all of that heavy steel providing any advantage for a woodworking bench. Plywood seems more appropriate, maybe with a layer of MDF to provide a really smooth gluing surface.

Space along the end is usable. Space in front of a drawer is trouble waiting to happen.

I've read several positive reviews from people who should be knowledgeable on the 65lb cast steel anvils such as what Vevor sells. I've given a bit of thought to selling my 70lb Fisher and buying one of those, and pocket a decent chunk of change. It might actually be a better anvil than the Fisher.

We also kept some kerosene lamps, including 2 Aladdins. None have been lit since we started getting cheap battery powered LED lights, probably 15 years ago.

This thread reminds me that I've still got some gallons of it in that blue plastic 5 gallon fuel can way in the back. I got it to run kerosene heaters that I got rid of at least fifteen years ago. Now I think I'll start using it for degreasing..

I have the slow speed Makita waterstone power sharpener, but really only comes out of the box every few years for plane, chisel, planer and jointer blades. Most of the rest of the time it's diamond plates and various oil or waterstones.

So why are you still working there?
