Yepper, I have one of the little 32 bit sets with a ratchet - had to run & check but my lid actually reflects what's below.

Looks like the illustration on the lid doesn't match the array in the case - they might match up but aren't arranged the same. I would want the lid to match what's below - I have a set like that that confuses me no end, I mean why even print the lid if it doesn't reflect the choices below it?

Interesting question - only my swag but I think in my times most everything has gotten smaller. And there is probably a beancounter in that woodpile too - to the OP's last point.

Guess it depends on usage - I've used some aluminum 2X2 1/8" aluminum angle the same way - without much movement for the box I haven't needed tape or fasteners (yet)

I've yet to experience the joys of joint replacement, but have several close friends and relatives who have. With a couple exceptions the operations have been successful - those folks also swear by the necessity of PT and movement in general

Ok, its late, but I'm failing to comprehend why people think lifetime means anything more than an advertising hit? Or why I can't buy a tool at (fill it in) use it, then return it just before posting my tears?

+1 - My Gramp was a bus mechanic in the Roaring 20's, and he would use the terms "End Wrench" and "Box Wrench". I have only a few of his tools still, but none is what we moderns refer to as a combination.

I would love a truly portable shop vac, but lugging a high amperage battery around is generally contrary to portable. Depends on usage of course, but generally battery power is weaker than corded, unless you add a battery too large to be handy.

I have never thought much of the deal of paying some store in advance to buy things from them. But then I don't need 30 packs of toilet paper, or hot dogs while I shop.

+1 Seems like that little switch adds complexity (thus risk of breakage) and conceivably gets in the way.

For a couple times a year and on mounted tires a breaker bar makes more sense. Particularly if the lug nuts in question weren't run down excessively by some other fool with a power toy.

As of now 8/14 would be a good day to drive down. As far as PSE, I would assume most plants today require safety glasses, we used to keep them on hand for visitors' use. Safety shoes are a bit harder to police, but I'd not show up for any plant tour in either flip flops or open toed shoes. Up...

The Bahcos come in a couple sizes, including a 6" version. The Bahco examples I have seen are missing the "slop" I found in "crescent wrenches" that I have had the misfortune to use in the past.
