    Auto parts stores tools

I too discovered that sockets that come in sets **** and ones on the individual rack are finished very nicely. The sets have no part numbers and shallow stamps whereas the individuals are deep Shiney and have part numbers. As for the ampro stuff I have a set of torx bits that are probably 6...

    Craftsman Impact sockets

Call me crazy but I like the duralast impacts from autozone. They have a nice tray and I keep them oily. No rust yet and I've banged on them for 2 years now. Nice deep size markings and if I break one autozone is much closer than sears. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk 2

    Lowe's won't honor veteran's discount

Seems like according to their policy, you can only receive the discount on July 4th, Memorial day, and Veteran's day since you are not retired or disabled or currently serving. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk 2

Those brackets are attached to the 4x4's with 4 star drive deck screws. Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll use the same method on my next shelving units also.

    First time shelving build questions.

Would anyone venture to say if this is more or less sturdy than just screwing the 2x4's to the wood with deck screws. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk 2

    First time shelving build questions.

I'd hate to guess how much weight will be on it. Probably way less than 500 lbs. I'd say the heaviest things I would potentially set on the shelves is propane tanks or bottled water cases. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk 2

    First time shelving build questions.

I have built my first set shelves to help organize my garage and am planning two more. I **** at working with wood. The shelves came out looking pretty decent but I'm afraid I made a critical mistake. I used 4x4 posts in 4 corners and made the two shelves with 2x4's and plywood. My concern is...

Long time listener first time caller

So after reading the forum for about a year and using everyone's collective knowledge I decided to start posting occasionally. I am from Kentucky and am a weekend wrencher. I'd say shade tree mechanic but that brings to mind someone who is simply working on cars for the fun of it. I'm more of...
