If you would like to do it your self you will need a tube bender not pipe bender. The die is what costs the real money. When making a cage you really should use DOM tubing not pipe. If you can cut metal and weld already is not to difficult. Just research cage building and google "triangulation"...

Thanks. I tried using a small torch but no dice. I will try welding tomorrow when I get home from work. I have a MIG and a stick welder so one should get up in there. Also my dremel seemed to have grown legs so nice dice there. Thanks for all the replies! Ps. Stick of gum, toothpick, match...

I have a lawn mower roller that blew out a bearing I have got the seal out but I can't for the life of me get this race out. I don't think a bearing puller will work as there is not really a shoulder on the back side to grab. Any ideas?

If it is oily and greasy I use brake cleaner. Works like a charm.

I picked up my second vise. It is no where near as nice as my Yost, but what ever it was $10. I'll probably sell it when I find a good big vise. Before: After:

Finally got myself a vise (I dont know how I have gotten by without one). I think I got a good deal on it for 30 bucks. It's a Yost 3" machinist vise. Here is my first crack at refurbishment. I know its not true to its original color, but I had this paint on hand. What say ye? Before: After:

3/8 or thicker steel for the top. Then you can beat on it or lay some beads with out worrying about top warpage or bending.

Not exactly cheap but if you are servicing ball joints on a Jeep or Dodge the OTC 7894 adapter kit is a life saver.
