    Along the edges, I used a spot weld cutter to seperate the panel from the rest of the body, If I was going to replace the entire panel, I could have done that all the way around. Since I'm just replacing the back half, I cut it with a cut off wheel in my grinder. To replace the entire panel...

    I'm cutting the rust out and amd going to use my mig machine to spot weld the replacement panels in. Probably going to be a mix of spot welds and rosette welds.

    Cut the rust out of the rocker panel: Fitted the replacement panel: Now to start welding.

    Here is the receiver hitch. I wire wheeled all of the rust and loose paint, primed the bare spots, sanded with 120 and brush painted it with Rustoleum Farm Implement gloss black.

    Slow and steady work on the Silverado. Got the receiver hitch de-rusted and in primer, will paint tonight. Practiced welding sheet metal with my mig welder, and started gutting the interior to cut the rocker panels out

    More work on the Silverado. Took the bed off to replace the rocker and cab corners. The chasis will be rust free and painted when it all goes back together. I'm replacing the shocks and exhaust while the bed is off.

    Started to get the Silverado prepared for new rocker panels. Pulled the running boards and the spare tire. Started spryaing all the fastners to unbolt the bed.

    Seems like a nightmare to pack up an entire garage. When is the last time you moved (your entire tools & garage) ?

    2 Years ago. Had to move the house stuff one weekend And the shop the next weekend. I emptied all the tools into boxes - to load into the truck. It was a great way to get organized

    Installed the K&N Cold Air Intake on the Silverado. Between that and the new plug and wires, it's running great.

    Just working on giving the Silverado some 100k mile maintenance. So far plugs and wires (easiest ever). Went to change the air filter, and found a crack in the airbox, along with totally effed up screws to hold the top on. Order a K&N CAI from Summit, Shoulr be here tomorrow. Next is shocks...

    Thanks for all the replies. No picures, but the wife said that the head was black (and rather large according to her), Probablly a rat or black snake. I have no plans on killing it. I have some Bigger 0 s going on, Ill call a pro to have it relocated. Just for price of mind.
