I had the day off and was able to put together this grab bag of rust. S-K screwdriver, Controlled Steel s-wrench and DOE, Williams DOE, Snap-on pliers, Hazet SOE and DOE, Gedore DOE but will need to wait for the remaining DOEs to take a bath before I know what they are! Bill

@four.cycle I think you're right on the nail... I pulled out a 1968 Wright set that was laying within easy reach. The handles are different between the Wright 2400 and the Crescent LM75 but the head, selector, and clip are identical.

Picked up this super clean (LMB14?, LM814?) 1/4" set from a FBM listing this morning. I can't find a catalog from the Crescent Niagara era but obviously from the 1960s. It doesn't quite look Wright (made) to me. Anyone have any insight as to the manufacturer? Bill

I finally got this home from my dad's estate (and have had to explode the contents of my own garage as a result!). The power cord - as you might expect - crumbled with the slightest movement. It has been replaced but the v-belt doesn't look to be far behind. The original 1/2" x 36-1/2"...

Yes, I do. Williams tools, in general, are not in abundance in my area but I do seem to run across a fair amount of S-52 ratchets. I always pick them up when I see them (just like S-K RH ratchets ;) ).

That same 1960 catalog also shows the "slanted" logo. So, from the available evidence, it looks like the oval logo came to be used somewhere between 1960 and 1963 - according to the catalogs illustrations. Edit: The price sheet supplement (dated 1962) is still showing this logo. Bill

A venture into the sunshine today netted me a Wright 3400 3/8" ratchet, Plomb 3026 9/16" x 1/2" DOE, Bonney T35 3/8" ratchet, Plomb 3021 3/8" x 7/16" DOE, and a Fairmount 723 3/8" x 7/16" DOE. Bill

I got a heads up from a fellow GJ member on this Wright 2436 flex handle/spinner. The head is not indexed so spinner use might be difficult if you needed to keep it rigid. No idea on the year of manufacture. Bill
