The old garage is detached from the main house as well. What you see are the windows for the upstairs 1000 sq ft loft/living area over the garage. The stairs up to the loft and door are on the back side of the garage and not visible in the photo.

Thanks. I was a little concerned about using the Rustoleum Epoxy since I read a few people weren't satisfied with their results. When I first mixed and put on the coating, I was surprised how thin it was, but it soon thickened up on the floor as it started to cure. After 24 hours it felt dry...

The doors are 10ft. x 10ft. I'm still considering what type of lift would be best. I have about 16ft of ceiling height.

I built the storage building myself about two years ago for just the purpose you stated. The only thing I didn't do was the concrete slab.

When I started the garage, I had 6 cars, all more or less daily drivers, but only garage space for three. Now that the second garage is finished, I have in the mean time sold two of the cars, so I guess I need to fill up the two empty spaces somehow!

I like the natural wood beam look too. The construction crew did a nice job, and matched the look of the existing garage well.

That will be the real tough part!

The garage is 40ft wide x 24ft deep.

Agree on the Liftmaster. Just had 3 installed and they are the way to go.
