Some news about the garage. I needed to park the motorhome. The first proposal was to make a big « hole » on the old house facade and convert the house into a garage. But it was to expensive. So I decided to cut some tree in order to have enough wood to build this shelter. Now it’s almost...

Merci Hugo! I had no particular issue with the original floor. But it’s too flexible to be used for the house, especially if you want to lay tiles (or use a lift). In the 70’s, lot of houses were updated with tile on wooden floor. But it’s not the right way. The only problem we could have with...

I will try to explain for the floor...! In fact, OSB is used only to to avoid concrete leaks. To support the concrete, under OSB, we used wooden I-beam and a forest of prop (one each 2 feet in 2 direction). Every 17 feet, we made a hole into the wall in order to anchored the floor.

Hello Gilles!;) Yes exactly. We wanted to have our own house The next step was to rebuild the 1st level floor. It's a bit special because it's only concrete and steel, called "freestanding slab". The big advantage is the space under slab: no need to have pole except under lift or for...
