    floor drain, where to terminate?

Dug a trench about 20 behind my shop, gug a deeper hole ran the drain pipe through the trench, into the hole and then covered with pea rock. Then graded over it. Pretty simple. IMO, most drains don't see a serious amount of continual water going through them.

    Painting a brick step?

I think you should leave it the way it is. No paint will look as nice as it looks now. Brick pretty much matches anything so when you go to do your floor it will most likely look pretty good. If not........... THEN do something with the brick. Think how hard it would be to keep clean if it...

    An old fool scammed, warning

First thing I do is ask to come see it in person if I think it's a scam. If it is a scam they come back with " well you can't look at it because it's at a shipping company or something". I love playing with the scammers. I was back and forth with one for a couple weeks on a JD tractor. I...

    Painting a brick step?

They look nice the way they are. But if you don't like them just take them out and frame up a step or soemthing. But what do you mean by grinding them down?

    Terrible CFL's

IMO, most objections to them are not about the bulbs themselves, but the government forcing us to use them.

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

I'm really thinking about putting pegboard into the doors of my nut and bolt cabinet. I already have everything including the pegboard. Right now I'm just using sheetrock screws in there to hang stuff on.

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Thanks. The supply cabinet is 2x10. The nut and bolt cabinet is 2x8. The paint cabinet is 2x4. All doors are 2x4. It's amazing how much more storage you can get by just adding another 4" in depth by making the doors into shelves.

    been here long enough

No it's not neater than that. Sometimes I literaly just open the door and throw stuff in there. THROW it in there. Where it lands, nobody knows. It's that whole ying and yang thing. I keep my shop side as clean as possible. So therefore there has to be a balance.

Thankyou very much. They work great, are easy and cheap to build. If you need more pics let me know. If you do go that route, use door hinges. They're strong enough to hold the weight.

Doesn't seem to get on the tv. But I'm guessing that a shop environment isn't the best for tv's. I'm sure I'll have to replace the tv every 4-5 years, hopefully longer. Thanks for the compliment on the cabinet.
