If CFL's were so great they wouldn't have needed to ban incandescents. Just like if wind and solar were so great and cost effective they wouldn't need massive subsidies. The whole better mouse trap thing. Great products sell themselves.

SO they say. I have the "dimmable" ones in my can lights in the kitchen. If you call going from a 45 watt light output to a 43 watt light output "dimmable".:mad: In other words, they don't really dim much. My incandescents would go from really bright to barely on, which is what I like...

Trying to fill in the holes in my socket trays. I've been buying some sets here and on EBay for around $13-$15 a set shipped. Sets being around 10 pieces. Most were new or like new. I'd like to keep in that price range. ($1.00-$1.50 per socket shipped, alittle more for the big ones...

The auctioneer is the worst part about it. You can just tell he's loving his fifteen minutes of fame. They way he talked to everyone was so fake. So scripted. He wasn't being real, he was acting like he was interviewing for an anouncer job for the evening news or something.

To be fair they are trying to do their "restorations" to make them affordable to most people. They say that in the intro. I don't think they're claiming Barret Jackson worthy restorations. The dialougue between the son and dad seems very scripted. That's not the way two people talk to...
