Sometimes I suppose I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed! Actually, I grabbed the one clamp, set the price at $3, and some guy grabbed the other when he heard $3. To make matters worse, I left behind a pair of 5 ton large USA made Lincoln jack stands in great shape. Oh well.

I almost think a u-joint retaining ring would work too. They're cheap, and readily available. I've never tried it, but some are somewhat similar size wise.

Well, I picked up my first vice. Bear with me, as I've always had the luxury of having family vices. Who doesn't? Anyways, it's a small USA made Columbian C43 1/2 anvil vice. I paid $5. What do you think? The lever could use a little straightening. Heat? And the swivel is hard to turn.

I only got a few things today: a Proto 408 8" c-clamp; a Wera SAE hex set; and a Columbian C43 1/2 anvil vise. $3, $5, and $5. I looked up the Proto clamp and apparently they're listed on Ebay for $40 or so. It's large, and it had a partner, whom I left behind. Doh!

Someone else had a pic of this just recently; the guy who inherited stuff. Amazing, it's an "As Seen On TV" product via 1940/50's. I guess we've come a long way from somewhat quality machined items to simple cheap **** of today.

Love the 1/4 Craftsman sets. Now get them all dolled up, and pimp them. I need a few pics!

Here's another shot of the NB ratchet. It's comfortable, and I like how thin the handle tapers towards the grip. These were sold at Napa? Amazing in comparison to the Asian stuff found today at Napa, Autozone, Advance, Pepboys, etc.
