the little mushroom looking ball is an at700-8 that is the most common failure on those ratchets..

the soft grip handles are longer and some of the older soft grip handles were bigger as well. these new ones are a bit smaller, but too many people complain that the handles are too big so they made them smaller

correct list price is what you see and thats how it shows in my computer for inventory control reasons. but when you purchase it i deduct the price of the free set off the full list price and that puts your price down to the current promotional pricing..

We do make our own pliers. Yours have more gap than i have ever seen in any of the cutters. I also sell knipex and they have zero gap. I sell the knipex 10-1 vs the snap on cutters like you guys are talking about.. those would go in the warranty pile because they look useless for sure.

they do have more power. they have a variable speed trigger as well. i have had real good luck with them. the new light that will be out soon is really bright compared to the one for the other 7.2v models... ctl761

how often do you use one on todays cars. also we have it in the sgdx60bg sets.... you cant get out a lot of rotor screws with a screwdriver to begin with...

No warranty. It is at least 5 yrs old. If your batteries still work good try eBay for a used gun. That would be your cheapest route.

Sorry there is nothing from snap on to hold them down. Lock a socket rails are magnetic. Look into those for your storage needs
