Older 10'' proto 5449 1/2 inch drive. Appears to be well used, but the ratcheting mechanism sounds good and works fine. There is some grinding below the shifting lever. Reads "5449 PROTO MFD. U.S.A." Asking $15 plus shipping. Trades for older craftsman stuff!

Just went by my local Osh hardware store. They had a huge inventory of Irwin vise-grips, all were the new 'Made in USA with global components'. I did find 2 7Rs that were still genuine USA ones. Thing that is weird is that the imports and the USA ones are the same price??

What is the country of origin for these big dawg ratchets? EDIT: The seller responded quickly. He said - "These particular ratchets are made in the US. I have been told they come from the same facility that produces the MAC ratchets."
