A tap will cut away any material in it's path, often leaving you with much weaker set of threads / missing threads after a damaged thread repair attempt. A thread restorer is designed to push the damaged threads back into place. You don't get a bunch of metal chips coming out of your already...

    Bsst 18 volt dewalt battery

If you're talking about the DCV581H, I have that shop vac and it's been great to me so far. I'm thinking about getting another one so I don't have to keep carrying it back and forth so much between work and home jobs.

Toyota Genuine Seal Packing 1282B is part #08826-00100. It is not the same as Toyota FIPG 103. The 1282B seal packing was specifically designed for Toyota's SLLC coolant. It's not made for oil pans and such.

Craftsman Flex made in USA ratchets worth 60?

If you look at the 'sold' listings on ebay, either of the flex heads routinely sell for north of $40.

Well, my dealer doesn't have it, at least not for sale to me, and the tech I'm friends with there is in Costa Rico for the next several weeks. I wanted to ask him what he's using. I see several online dealerships do still show they have it available at prices 4x or more than I've paid. o_O...

Solary H7 Induction heater w/ 8 coils, and an additional 8 coil accessory set. I wanted the same induction heater with 10 coils, which came with two of the flat coils that didn't come with this one, but they wanted $37 more for it ($143 vs $180), and an accessory set of 8 coils including one of...

Applying RTV ( What is your preferred method? )

Hmm, it's super simple to use and works so great, your comment had me wondering. Then I remembered seeing this video when I was thinking about buying mine. This guy goes over issues he had when it was new, making sure it's set up right, and mentions that it isn't all that helpful on a brand new...

Amazon sells both the 2.5" and the 2", and they are usually the same price. I've never had any issue using the 2.5" for any size tube of RTV. I've often used it with the little 1 oz tubes. Toyota has a similar FIPG (Toyota Genuine Seal Packing 1282B) also made by Three-Bond that's a bit pricey...

    Bsst 18 volt dewalt battery

NiCad batteries sucked. Lithium batteries solved so many of those issues and now I get many years of use out of batteries. I'm still using some 20V batteries from 2013 when I bought my first Dewalt 20V Max tools. I have several of the little 2aH batteries from back then that I don't use often...

    Brake Caliper Hanging Hooks

I have several different pairs of hooks, all almost the same. I've found that bright yellow ones are most useful as I haven't managed to leave any of those on a customer's car yet. I've definitely had a few not-yellow ones drive off before. That said, fairly often none of the pre-made hooks...

Grabbed this Heupar 360° Laser Level (D011DGTP) and a Fine Tuning bracket (PV12) for it. It's a lower-end model but seems to check all the boxes for what I'm needing. Just wish it came in a case. I'm going to have to come up with something to keep it and everything together.

Icon G2 Ratchets vs Snap On

Some months back Eric O. @ South Main Auto was saying he put all his equivalent snap-on ratchets away and replaced them in his boxes with Harbor Freight's G2 line, just to give them a go. He hasn't really said much of anything good or bad about them so far, so I guess they are doing allright.

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

Got my Astro 78301 stubby flex DBE and an Astro 783105 10.5" flex nano ratchets in yesterday and the flex ends seem fine. Pretty much the same as my other Astro nano wrenches. They are stiff enough not to get all floppy on me when they have a socket on them. I'm sure with time they might start...

Brake Drum Self Adjuster Gear Screw Bent?

I work for an idiot because NAPA's delivery truck shows up with **** parts with the Dorman name on them every day that we have to send back over and over ?? They really can't even make a drain plug right. I wouldn't bet a nickle against a dollar that they'd show up with a Dorman adjustment screw...
