Finished up a quick clean and paint on the Univise I picked up a while back. I have the aluminum tag but will need to make another Rockwell label for it.

My lineup: Diehl ZA42-6 on a Dayton stand. Craftsman 1/2hp with stand that is shown next to the Diehl. Thor B6S with a Taiwan special behind it on the same stand.

Look up inside the saw where the jack screw for the blade angle stops. There may be a set screw or bolt that threads through a tab to set the stopping point for the angle adjustment.

Newest addition, '69 year model. Some minor issues to work out and a bit of cleaning. It was brush painted at some point and I'll leave that alone for now. Motor is a 1/2hp Rockwell (Marathon).

Thanks Hoorn. The feet were in really good shape. They have very little evidence of being dragged across flooring over the years. The serial number shows it as a 1948 production year. ETA: I've looked through images on the VM site and don't recall seeing the switch location up near top like on...

Finally finished up the scroll/jig saw I posted back on page 8. Will need to get it on a mobile base soon and on down the road see about finding the parts to make it VS.

Picked up another mystery box at an estate sale last week. Interesting little piece I think.

Probably lighting. I knocked all the rust off originally with a wire wheel then sprayed it with Fluid Film.

Here's my DP I put back together a few years ago. DP1040 on the base, no serial number on the head. Had an older Westinghouse motor that burned up a few months ago. I have an old Dunlap to put on it at some point.

In that pile there was also what appears to be another stand that requires assembly. Legs and gussets look identical to the above stand but in gray. They are also a bit shorter.

It is a Delta motor but I haven't had a chance to try to clean it up to see the specs. The saw currently has a Dunlap with a Rockwell belt.

I picked up a few items from a weekend auction today including the "miscellaneous pile" that usually pays off and this one did. The stand also has the rubber pads which is a nice surprise.

Several years ago I would agree. Things have changed IMHO especially with all the cash flowing in this economy. I see an occasional WT machine in estate auctions from time to time around me and a majority of times it just turns in to a bidding war and thus the item ends up being overpriced...

Good luck on the potential purchase. Prices vary wildly based on location and format. In a non auction setting at a closing business hopefully you can get a fair price.

Thanks for the catalog scan! I did get the manual from the vintage site so I will put your scan in with the manual. To be honest the switch is what caught my eye. This one has an older Dayton 1hp motor and the previous owner used double pulleys on the saw and motor with dual belts.
