Good to know if I can't find it. Just scared they would charge a fortune for probably a 10 minute job.

    How to find drain pipe

A plumber found the drain pipe at my grandmothers house with two coat hangers...later we had to repair them and he turned out to be right...Was the first time I seen that in action lol

    How to find drain pipe

I know about where it exits...within a 15' section of the wall. In other words, I know what side of the building, and that its past the window. The ground is to hard to probe it, unless I can make up some kind of sharp spike. Which may be helpful anyway. Starting to sound like I am going to...

    How to find drain pipe

No its PVC. The drain was put in per my request when the building was built. I just now got around to putting the sink in. So this was something I was going to need to do all along, but I should have marked where the the drain was... Theres a floor drain, and a pvc drain in the wall. They...

    How to find drain pipe

Hoping to save myself a lot of digging. There is a 2" drain pipe that exits from under my concrete pad and goes away from the building...not sure how far. Are there any tricks and tips to finding this drain pipe besides digging all along that side of the building until I hit it, and then follow...

Running new wire with Spray Foam- Best way to do it?

Oh ok, I understand what you are saying now. Going outside may be a better option. That would prevent me from having surface mounted conduit in my finished shop. I would just mount the grey plastic conduit near the bottom of the outside wall? Its brick for about 2' and then vinyl siding. I may...

Running new wire with Spray Foam- Best way to do it?

I think conduit on the wall is what we will end up doing. The outdoor unit is on the same wall as the panel. So its not a long run. And that beats tearing something up. I have never done any electrical work. Assuming you mean drill a hole and then go outside to a junction box?

Running new wire with Spray Foam- Best way to do it?

Running new wire with Spray Foam- Best way to do it?

My shop is sprayfoamed with a 4x8 sheets of wood siding over the foam. I am having a mini split installed so I need to add a 220 breaker to my panel and then run the wire in the wall to get to the disconnect. I'll have a control wire to run too I think. Is the only thing I can really do is pop...

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

I'll ask the contractor about vapor barrier. Concrete has not been poured. He said he can't stand pouring cement first because it gets all dirty and drives him mad. So I think that happens once everything else is complete.

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

How big of an issue will humidity be? Anything I should consider now? I still don't think it's actually been spray-foamed yet. The guy is having a hard time sourcing material because of shortages. But its supposed to be done this week, so I don't have a lot of time.

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

It's just a general shop/garage to work out of. I'll store the mower, tools, and hunting stuff in there. I plan to keep the 24x32 area as open as possible to have room for working on projects. Hoping most of my stuff will fit in the 15x15ish area that is in front of the 16x16 room. I have an...

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

If I recall correctly, I have about a 9.5' ceiling. You probably know more than me, but I guess you get extra height because the walls sit on the brick foundation. I'm pretty sure once they frame up the room, the walls will run from the cement pad to the ceiling. I will for sure insulate the...

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

So if I condition the 16x16 room, the bigger area may be tolerable just from the leaked heat/air? I don't want an insane power bill. Trying to get an idea of cost of the unit + electricity to see if its something I want to do. If its cost-prohibitive, I'll just insulate the 16x16 room and...

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

With a mini split, can I have two different zones? One in the room and one in the bigger shop area? I really only want to keep the bigger area tolerable. Our summers are so hot and humid. Winter is not really bad at all. So if I could keep it 80 in there during the summer that would be plenty...

    Heating/Cooling with sprayfoam

Forgot to add: We don't have the option of natural gas. So we will have a propane for the tankless water heater to the house. Everything else is electric.
