The Wright stuff! I ordered two wrenches, one is backordered. My go-to wrenches are Sears Craftsman Professional, long pattern, USA. The Wright 22mm is just a tiny bit shorter than my CMan 21mm, so that's still long pattern enough for me. So purdy!

Little thingies: The Dexter mini-turner really tickles me. Smaller than I expected. I was imagining a big turner but shorter in the flat zone. I have just the pan for this, picture later. Your average commercial kitchen table scraper, for comparison: Wee squares! Japanese company...

Cat inspector got into the box before I could finish unpacking it. The butcher paper is always appreciated. This one stayed on this spot for hours. Large things: Boy, this rasp is big! The chisel really surprised me. (Well, it is listed as 1" x 12".) What a beast! No surprise here...

Today I got the bulk of my first order of HJE Summer. (Order #1, made during 4th of July weekend.) Some things were sold out (sniff... Japanese pull saws) and several things were backordered. 20 cats and a giant tomato:

My first thought was, "Oh, those are wedges by the Warwood Tool Co." Then I searched for wedges at HJE and they have four brands! Warwood, Ajax, Lansing Forge, Council Tool. Yet another reason to love HJE.

PICAYUNE PROJECT This one has been bouncing around in my noggin for years now. Never got around to finding a little cheap section of pipe. Pondered what kind of tubing a hobby/model shop might sell... but those are thin on the ground anymore! Saw some nice plastic and metal rod/bar/tube stock...

NATURE'S RICH BOUNTY There I was, driving down a city street, when somebody had some stuff out in their front yard with a "FREE" sign. There was some wood I am proud of myself for not grabbing (sold in stores, little storage room left) but PVC! Huzzah! 5+ feet of 3" pipe and 12+ feet of 1/2".

Our most curious internet: a man who makes a living cleaning lint out of dryer vents also has a YouTube channel showing his exploits. This is a diplomatic way of saying, "You won't believe how screwed up some people's dryer ducts are!"
