As said, regularly used in industry to monitor things like bearings beginning to fail. Not sure on resale value because it's going to be used primarily in industry and they are 99.9% going to buy new to ensure accuracy.

I have a Fluke like in the OP for occasional home use. I'm on my second one as the first one got destroyed by the POS batteries that came with it. Since then, I replace all batteries with rechargeables as they're much less likely to leak.

I think it's pretty difficult today to buy a "bad" socket that comes from a known seller, so I would just go by the price, selection, and quality of the case. I have chinese HF, USA SK, Taiwan Sunex.... impact sockets and they all seem the same to me as far as durability during home use.

Slow is nonsense. If you try to drill a 1/4" hole in 304 SST at 80 RPM you will get nowhere. But try. You need good bits. Stainless is not hard but work hardens during drilling.

Wilde. They make them for lots of manufacturers, including Proto. I am not a huge Wilde fan, but these pliers are legit. I am not impressed by Wilde's punches (not good) or their pry bars (merely ok)

You can change the rear plugs in a Roo with a low profile ratchet like a Gearwrench 90T, Tekton 90T, Matco 88...... Put the socket on the plug, install the ratchet... It might even be possible with an old SK round head flex head but I haven't tried.
