    Vintage matco tool box

Found the middle box. Probably paid a hair more then most of you would have, but hey, it's complete. Not the biggest fan of how it locks, when bottom drawer is fully closed, it locks the 2 above it. Gotta figure out what I want to do about that. Also found 2 original cards inside. Here it is in...

    Re shaping body hammers

I have handled 3 different majestic hammers and they had a very good finish. I also contacted sh industries and they said it would have never left the factory that way. Also they laquer coat the faces when finished. These are obviously not coated. Well except for the surface rust. Thanks for...

    Re shaping body hammers

$35 for the pair. I'm still contemplating sending them back with a claim through paypal. She won't reimburse any shipping cost. Which is bs on her false advertising, and non sense lie and story. Creative car.... that snap on was not a snap on finish.. neither is the majestic. And who the hell...

    Re shaping body hammers

Here is a snap on hammer I bought "new condition" which quite obviously isn't the case. Luckily the cases were just very rought, buy crown even all the way around. No re shaping needed just a polish

    Re shaping body hammers

They are not new. I have handled majestic hammers before. They make quality stuff. Made in usa. This are currently worse then horrible freight beca use someone took em to a grinding wheel. And a very coarse belt sander

    Re shaping body hammers

The hammers I'm wanting to refinish someone took them to a grinder of some sort, ruined the shape and quite Un even on the crown. I bought them on ebay from some lady she listed them as brand new. What I recieved was obviously not. She insisted that they came that way from factory and I am...

    Re shaping body hammers

Any tricks of the trade to get a body hammer back into even shape after someone ruined them? Bought a couple hammers that have an Un even crown and quite rough. The only thing I can come up with is belt sander with constant and consistent movement.

Opinions on this used Mac Tool box

The way I see it.... this size and drawer amount in a new box would be really pricey. Then you get upset at every ding nick or scratch. With a vintage box. It has the look, it has the functionality, and the character. All at a fraction of the cost of a new one. And it just gets better as it...

Opinions on this used Mac Tool box

Here is my find. $500 is what I paid. Tore it apart cleaned rails and box, lubed up all rails with paraffin wax and used some polish and wax on the box itself. It is now my shop box

    Not so sticky spray glue?

No sir. Some of the stuff will actually click on the box when opening and closing they are pretty shallow drawers

    Not so sticky spray glue?

I have an older matco tool box with the shallow drawers. If I add anything under some of the tools. They won't fit anymore. One reason I went with the real thin speaker box carpet

    Not so sticky spray glue?

Im using some black speaker box carpet as a tool box liner. Works really well on the smaller trays and lighter weight tools. But the bigger and heavier stuff like to pull the carpet and bunch it up a little bit. I was thinking spray glue if there is one that would work well and not be sticky...

    Snap on body hammer question

So after a couple hours of hand sanding. Starting at 100 grit, then realizing I had to go lower since it was just too rough, 40 60 100 150 220 320 400 wet. I'd say it's decent enough. The edges still a little wonky, but I'm not too worried about it. Here are the after pics

    Snap on body hammer question

I already have the addiction. I have quite a few hammers and dollies. This is just my first snap on. And I actually need this hammer to be able to get behind a vw bug fender with the big headligh bucket
