I have a mini drill press by shopcraft, I want to change the chuck to a keyless chuck, when I look inside the chuck, I don't see a screw inside, its just a hole and a flat bottom, does this mean this is a tapered mounted chuck? how do I remove this?

so far latex glove rubber band and with squeeze out blob of silicon last me a month or so, but depends on how nicely you have sealed the later glove with the rubber band.
