    amphenol vs deutsch connectors

I'll give 'em a try. I'm not dealing with big dollars here, just trying to have enough of an assortment in the toolbox to deal with whatever I may run into. Although spending $2 a connector instead of $4 means your $50 goes twice as far.

    amphenol vs deutsch connectors

Most directly, I'm looking at their parts that are equivalent to Deutsch DTP series of connectors. I believe Amphenol calls them an ATP series of connectors. Then there is the corresponding wedgelocks and stamped pins/sockets (Amp's version of Deutsch size 12 pins/sockets).

    amphenol vs deutsch connectors

I'm adding a few connectors of the common deutsch type I see more often to my tacklebox, and I've noticed amphenol are advertised compatible to deutsch, and half the price. Any reason not to use them? They look decent, but with electrical repairs, it's already broke once, so it's a good place...

    Air Compressor Stages/Phases?

I get the low pump rpm thing, as fast pumps tend to be loud, hot, and less volumetrically efficient, but for what reason does the motor rpm matter?

    Craftsman Professional Screwdrivers...are back???

+1 I like these screwdrivers, and I'm disappointed they're disappearing, but they're not worth that price.

    Craftsman Professional Screwdrivers...are back???

I saw that set online recently, and was surprised to see it, but I suspect it may have been a website error. It was unavailable when I tried to add it to cart. They are great screwdrivers, I have two sets, have been using them professionally for about 5 years now, and have only broken 2 or 3...

The Next Ingersoll Rand 1/2" Impact

True, but in this regard how are the breakaway numbers different from the regular torque numbers? They're all ******** numbers. I have doubts there is any consistency amongst testing methodologies at all. They could change the rating system to just rate them as "more gooder" or "less gooder"...

    Air Compressor Stages/Phases?

Are you sure about that? I've always been told you should use detergent oil on a pressure lubricated engine where you want the detergent to hold dirt in suspension to carry it to the filter, and you should use non-detergent in a splash lube application where there is no filter, and you want the...

recommendation for large open/boxed end wrench set

I've got harbor freight's "jumbo" and "super jumbo" wrench sets. Together, they cover up sizes from 1-3/8" all the way to 2-1/2", in 1/8" increments. I've been fairly abusive to them, and have not broken one yet, although there are limits to how much I am willing to trust them. Northern...

    21.99 Ctafsman 1/2" impact

I can second that for both of those. I don't know why it is so common for many people to use truck lugs as their goto example of a tough nut for which they need a big impact. I've busted truck lugs with a good 1/2 gun (sometimes even with a compact model) with little fuss. Maybe this called...

    21.99 Ctafsman 1/2" impact

A coworker of mine has a 3/8" aircat. I have a 3/8 Snap on MG325. We haven't conducted a scientific test, but running the two side by side, the aircat feels more powerful, although it has a horrible trigger. There is no feathering that one for light work, it's either on, or it's off, there...

    Air Compressor Stages/Phases?

Do you mean single phase, or single stage? I think you mean single stage, and yes, they do make single stage 80 gallon compressors, although 80 gallon compressors will usually be two stage. 60 gallon compressors are more often single stage, although either size is available in either...

    Air Compressor Stages/Phases?

I highly doubt you are seeing single cylinder pumps on compressors in that size range. What it is more likely you are seeing is a two cylinder pump, in an "inline two" sort of cylinder block configuration.

    question for the vise-aholics

I have a vise on my bench at work. It's set up on a piece of square tube steel so I can move it from my bench to my service truck (receiver hitch mount) in a moment's notice. Point is, I go almost nowhere without it, and I use it all day. At work, I can't stand to be without it, although it...

I know what you mean, but just have to ask...where did you find a two stage compressor with a combustion chamber?

The Next Ingersoll Rand 1/2" Impact

Moisture from within the air lines condenses inside the air motor and in the exhaust. Compressed air cools as it expands. All air tools get cold in operation, and the harder their worked and the larger their duty cycle, the colder they get. Frosting like this is much more common in tools...

The Next Ingersoll Rand 1/2" Impact

That's just frost. Any composite gun will do that if you run it with a high enough duty cycle. It's harmless. Both my 2125 and 2135 Ti guns have done that, although I can't say for certain how often, as I put boots on them within a few weeks of purchasing them, and once you have the boot on...

When UPS or USPS Damages your items in transit???

This is it right here. If you packaged it yourself, they will deny coverage 100% of the time. If you use their pack and ship service, they will deny coverage most of the time. It is a ******** racket. They will say it was your packing, and they have no burden of proof. All they have to do...
