Welp, between the last couple days, I got 6 of the 9 freshly painted cabinets installed. The other 3 will have to wait until the garage door track is gone. Next steps are uncertain at this point, but I’ll figure it out soon enough.

Well, I managed to find some motivation the past few days. Finally. I assembled the ikea cabinets, cut off their handles, drilled mounting holes for my handles, ordered more handles and picked up hardware, scuffed them all with scotchbrite, wiped them down with acetone, and set up a paint area...

Managed to get the hot water hooked up today- I’m pretty stoked for this. I’ll need to disguise the cover to look more era appropriate, but other than that, pretty awesome!

I can’t say I was without worry lol. I’ve read those rear tires can be pretty scary on wet pavement. Trying not to become a meme with this car, but also trying to enjoy it as much as possible haha.

Short update- been focusing on tuning/working out the bugs on the car before the rain. I might have one or two opportunities left in the year to go for a drive due to weather, so I’ve taken advantage anywhere I could. The other day, I drove it out to the lake- as soon as I got there it rained...

Condensed version of the last week or so. Mud and tape, prime and paint happened, with help from my parents and gf. I learned I need to work on my mud and tape game, otherwise reasonably happy with it.
