    The Garage Attic Retracting Stairway

Moving the winch out of the attic would be good, it’s going to be subject to constant heat up there, especially in the summer.

    The repurposing thread

That is a good idea, I don’t think I’d use a classic for that though unless newer model wrecks are too expensive.

Why am I the only one in my neighborhood to pay for a backflow test every year?

So I’m guessing these sprinkler systems should have check valves that would prevent flow back? But, isn’t the city water system a pressurized system? I’m guessing there would only be a possible flow back if a water main broke somewhere? Then they always tells residents to let water run for a...

Planning for the future... Shop then House build... Advise and Knowledge needed!

I’m needing storage and thought about a container.. You used to be able to get one of these for 500.00, now they want 2600.00 to 3500.00 or so. Crazy. I was hoping I could find someone wanting rid of one for about the same price they paid.

Curious: Does anyone power & heat their garage with a stationary watercooled engine?

I don’t know about this but my dad was telling me about a man that heated his chicken house with some sort of hydraulic system. Hydraulics get fairly hot too. You might be money ahead setting up a used oil furnace for heating?

    Hypotherm Problem.

A friend of mine has a Hypotherm, that he said he would sell me. He said it has a constantly flashing yellow light. It’s a little hard to make out but, I copied and pasted his message to me below. I’m guessing there has to be someone here that has experience with these and may have had this...

The death of the double open end wrench

Double Open End wrenches ****, especially if they are different sizes on each end. Set it down, so you can loosen or adjust something else, pick it back up, damnit, wrong end. I took all mine since they were different sizes on each end and cut them in half to make stubbys out of them.
