Above 1200 Sq/FT Cleaning Up My Shop

Laughed out loud at that one, because my wife would say the same about me. Just popped in to check the progress. I enjoy following along with the various projects.

Lucky No. 7 Rod & Customs Garage Build

Re: New House with Two Attached Garages Just read through your entire thread and wanted to say nice work! Priming over the wood paneling certainly did change the look of that one garage! Will keep following your progress.

SHOP RADIOS, what are you using?

I use a SounDesign stereo receiver with speakers that my folks had in the family room back in the 1980s. It picks up the local radio stations quite well, which is all I really listen to anyway. It still has a cassette player on it (don't know if they actually work), and I know I have a record...

    Garage Etiquette

My thoughts exactly. That way, the buyer (or anyone that may be with them) can't do any "window shopping" and see what else might be in the garage or shed.

What are/(were) your most USELESS tools?

So far, this is the only thing I can come up with off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more out there in the garage that I will find when I unpack more boxes this summer. Tried using it once on a nut on a riding lawnmower that wasn't even that large - no go and it stripped out. Now...

    2017 HD deals/sales/clearance thread

Picked up a few types (CJ7Y, CJ8Y, and RJ19LM) of Champion spark plugs for my small engines today. They were half-price (so $1.20 each). I figure I can always use plugs, and they don't have a shelf life...:) I figure it never hurts to have extras.

SHOW OFF YOUR VINTAGE FRIDGE!! post pictures, details and improvements made

The fridge was always in an old building that did not have power, so I honestly didn't know if the fridge worked. I'll ask my dad where the fridge went the next time I talk to him and see what he remembers.

SHOW OFF YOUR VINTAGE FRIDGE!! post pictures, details and improvements made

I remember my dad used an International Harvester fridge for storage (oil and hydraulic fluid jugs, IIRC) in the shop. I've looked online for a pic, but just can't seem to remember exactly what it looked like. Not sure whatever ended up happening to it when we sold the ranch I grew up on...

The dilemma of two drill presses.

If it were me and I had the space, I'd keep both. You can have 2 different setups, like a few of the others have suggested. You can't go wrong, as both are Rockwells, IMO.

An Anvil stand for my "new-to-me" anvil

Nice work! That should be really stable when you get it strapped down like you said.

What do you guys sit on in the garage? Just got this beauty

When I sit at the workbench, I use an old metal stool that has been in the family for years. It could use some wheels, but that's a minor problem to me. When I am rolling around working on small engines and things that are not on the bench, I'll use the seat portion of an old office chair...

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

I think the most significant thing I have found in the road was a beat up framing hammer. Not usually paying that much attention (though perhaps I will now, after reading what others have found!).
