I easily applied 103 ftlbs of torque on a 5/8 11 machine bolt with my GL12's. Didn't have the clearance to get a hex bit on it so the gl was called to action. Once semi-tight I opened the mold which then gave me clearance to get my hex bit socket and torque wrench on it.

The crescent is ok. The jaw opening is still much smaller than a smaller proto cutter. With the handles spread fully apart to an almost 180 degrees the jaw opening is a little more. Agreed the spring load is nice and I also like the jaw lock. Handles are also good.

Yea I think what I love most is how it feels in my hand, and the fact it's the shortest on the market. Great impact driver.

Just to be clear you're referring to the black screws right? I use those for 3x5 landscape timbers. They do not have a high shear strength however. I built a tree stand using these and by the next season they all sheared off. Ledgerloks woulda been the ideal screw for the tree stand.
