    I have one of those and also a 30K BTU unit. I've never seen one with that much black dirt in the motor area, someone put that thru hell. I always put a couple ounces of denatured alcohol in mine with every fill up, to keep the water problem under control. No rust in my tank.

    Time to decide on a zero turn

    I mow about 4 acres a week in summer, with a 1993 Grasshopper zero turn, 22 HP Kubota diesel (about 40% less fuel than a gas engine). It has in excess of 3500 hours on it, and I found it on CL about 10 years ago for $600. The deck gearbox needed attention, and I was able to piece it together...

    Wouldn't that be great. Looks like scrap steel is avg. about $70/ton presently. A 40ft can weighs about 4.5 tons. So $315, and lets round that off to $500 plus delivery.....wow. Big profit margin at $3000 plus.

    Those prices sound very similar to what they go for here as well. I'm thinking the folks selling them make a pretty profit on them. That will pay for itself in no time, and it's a fraction the cost of any built storage space. No prop. tax on them either........for now anyway.
