I'll agree with the abuse statement. If I had to use a 5' cheater, it would be a 3/4" drive sliding T handle the socket would be on. I've never broken a ratchet because I don't abuse them.

I'm of a similar age, and I agree. The sticking point is that there's no support infrastructure for EV's yet. There are going to be more vehicles around than charging facilities. It'll be worse in big urban areas like NYC and LA. Electrical demand will be more than the current supply can...
