Got the outside unit set in place. I'm going to make a list today of what I will need to run the lineset and the wiring. Hopefully I will have that all done tomorrow or monday at the latest

Our summers are pretty hot. I was thinking about using that board that you are talking about I think some call it duct board. I looked at some at the depot but it seamed to have a very low R value.

I built a shelf under it yesterday with leftover plywood. I also plan on installing some 4" drawers under the top itself. I figured they would come in handy for small things.

Price was the factor for using 3/4 it was only a difference of $70 between 3/4 and 1/2. To me it was a no brainer.
