Above 1200 Sq/FT CCColtsicehockey Garage Build - 2440sqft storage, shop, and loft

Thanks. Yeah, I have put together a pretty substantial list of things to work on now that they are gone. I expect it to take me the rest of the year or maybe the end of Q1 next year to wrap it up, but at least they are at my pace now. It is a great relief to finally be done with that part...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Suburban Working Garage in VA...now building the Highland House in the Teton Valley

The headaches are only during the build, and then with many great years of enjoyment, they will be a distant memory. At least that is what I have been told. Those O2 sensors bring back the horrors of the ones I tackled on the ISF this past fall. Ended up cutting all mine in half with my M12...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Suburban Working Garage in VA...now building the Highland House in the Teton Valley

The place is coming along great. Definitely starting to look like a house with the grading work getting further along. I do not understand how these garage door installers don't have a group of guys that do the installs on the more cosmetically concerning installs, as I know you and I are not...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT My Mini Garagemahal

Exhaust is coming along great. I have a vapor barrier in my crawlspace. I really should check the humidity more often as I am curious about potentially sealing mine and adding a dehumidifier as well. Maybe a good place for another zwave temp/humidity sensor.

Above 1200 Sq/FT CCColtsicehockey Garage Build - 2440sqft storage, shop, and loft

I had a rule with the new driveway in that I wouldn't work on a car without pulling it into the garage so as not to stain the driveway. That lasted not even 6 months from having a new driveway at it bit me in the ***. The truck door hinge was making loud noises and was extremely tough to...

Two weekends ago, with temps getting really hot, I realized the single sheet of plywood covering the skuttle hole was not going to cut it anymore, and I needed to deal with that project. The room was showing 82 degrees. This picture shows the actual floor temp. This was the skuttle hole...

Above 1200 Sq/FT CCColtsicehockey Garage Build - 2440sqft storage, shop, and loft

Early June, I got around to the rest of the shutters in the mornings of the weekend and painting in the afternoons in the storage room. The last of the shutters pretty much wraps up most of the street-facing exterior work. The only piece left is the lighted house numbers I plan to create for...

Above 1200 Sq/FT CCColtsicehockey Garage Build - 2440sqft storage, shop, and loft

Around the end of May I got the trimming done on the house. This needed to be done before I could do the rest of the shutters. Things had gotten a little overgrown. I picked up a new tool for this. I really love my gas powered trimmers for my larger hedges, so they won't be going anywhere...

Shortly after I got back from the golf trip at the end of April/early May, we finally drew things to a close with the builder about the middle of May. They finished the punch list by then, the final payment was made, and we went our separate ways. I have never felt such relief from handing...

Above 1200 Sq/FT CCColtsicehockey Garage Build - 2440sqft storage, shop, and loft

Life has been hectic, and I also just needed a break from things. Going to take several posts to make some updates in some sort of order. Back in April, I got away for our annual guys' trip to Pinehurst. Three of us from the Carolinas and four from Pittsburgh get together each year. This...

Yes you are correct, they do show up as music devices. I have an action to make my doorbell play through all of them already so shouldn't be hard to create a speech alert for the driveway as well. Adding the cellular internet back would actually be a good middle of the ground work around to...

I really wanted the 5G back for my system but didn't want to pay for 5G internet monthly. I had no idea you could buy yearly per GB packages. That is awesome and I am going to have to look into that then. Audio alerts for vehicles entering the driveway is a great idea. Going to have to...

Garage, shop lighting design ideas...2400 sq. ft

I also have Hyperlite installed in my build for 2 years now and I have been extremely happy with them. I was aware they were not a main stream company but there seemed to be enough good reviews not to matter to me. They claim 80CRI and are dimmable via 0-10v dimming which I have connected to...

The lack of rain is definitely hurting. Been really putting a hurting on my water bill running the irrigation so much. I have tried some of the water retention/soil amendment products from SiteOne this year during this dry spell. Not fully sure if they are helping but some reports seem to say...

I would just leave it sit the way it is, even if not tracking it anymore. Duck would be the second vote, though. That double wide 4post I am shocked shows only 4.25in concrete required if Bendpak's dedicated concrete sheet is to be believed. Your experience definitely has me thinking about one.

The 944 is looking sharp after the detail. I am sure it has a bunch of great memories having it back on the road and more to be created with your kids now.

Just finally caught up after being away for a while. The shop is coming along great. Really love that you got all the vices powder-coated the same. Man, the H2C is a rabbit hole I am both looking forward to and not looking forward to this fall. Looks like you are having fun with it though...
