What color walls does everyone have in the garage?

Tan/beige. It's the same color my wife had the interior walls painted. I looks a lot different now but I still have a lot of work to do.

    tools only YOU have

None of these are particularly rare but you probably don't see them very often anymore. I figured since there weren't any posted I would toss them into the mix. Although they may not be a "tool" and I couldn't find them at the moment I have some factory paper template from GM for radio component...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I pulled the engine out of my Maverick as well as some additional clean up. It's been a long haul getting the garage organized and I'm not near finished.

I love the old school digital clock! I remember the first "digital" alarm clock I had, as the time changed the numbers just flipped down.

    Help with wiring floursent lights

This won't help now but maybe in the future it will. I always mark the wires and take a picture before I remove something I'm not sure about, helps it go back together the way it was.

Need music in my shop...best setup?

I have an old Sony hooked up to an old desktop computer so I don't have to listen to the local idiots on the radio. The computer is also capable of piping TV through it so in the near future I'll hook it up to the cable so I can listen to Sirius on it as well. It also gives me internet in the...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? 63-1/2, loves those cars! In the mid 80's when I was a sophomore I had the opportunity to buy a 406 4 speed black 63-1/2. It had been a drag car most of it's life and had lost the 406 early on. It had a warmed over 390 still sporting the cast long...

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Put up some more shelves and cleaned it a bit. Hoping soon it will look like a garage instead of a storage unit.

Are you self employed? Would you like go into business for yourself?

Can't say I haven't been tempted but I have yet to take the leap. I worked my way into management with the largest Deere dealer in the US, it was rewarding but the company culture didn't agree with me. I resigned the management position, moved to sales and eventually left the company. When I...

Where and how do you store your engine hoist?

Mine's at my brothers house and he re-paid the favor by storing his Fat Boy at my house. Once I get a garden shed up it will be stored there.

    old gas station pics

Awesome thread! Here's one right on Hiway 97 in North Central Oregon. That looks a lot like my Grandpa's 76 station, if I could get my hands on one I'd risk the divorce! There is one in town and I'll get a picture of it but it is still in use as a wrecking yard for GM muscle cars. Here's a...

New from Kennewick, WA with a new garage

My name is Rick and we just moved into our new house a few months ago. When we had it built I had them add a third bay to the garage but the real beauty is that two bays are double deep! I am currently working on this space as well as the landscaping so it's been a slow go. Add to that the...
