    Below 265 SQ/FT 10' x 22' Project – ‘Officina di Attrezzi Veloce’

So that base works on Makita and Festool tracks?!? I've started looking at what to use on my Makita rail and if that works, it would surely mate to my Bosch router.

X2 on the jealously. Now that I'm on the Makita platform, I've been looking into their corded/cordless dust extractor. That purchase will still be a ways out but I have found that the sooner I can figure out what I am looking for, the more likely I will know prices and be able to find a good deal.

Great little project. The small ones are important for me to make me feel like I am still moving forward.

Nick - I used the Makita for a quick project and it was awesome. The other saw on my radar was a Festool TS75 with two track for $750. That seemed like a decent deal but when they Makita came up, it was too good to pass up. I'm not on YouTube too often so a lot of those guys are new to me. I...

Not much progress as of late, at least not worth of posting. I have been busy caulking and painting trim in our hallway. Hoping to get that finished this week/weekend so I can move on to a new project. I did pick up a new toy today! Not the actual pic but you get the gist. I've been eyeing a...

Re: Mike's Garage & House Projects Thanks for checking things out J. Right now, the workshop is mostly clean but it seems to go in cycles lately. Hopefully I have some shop progress this summer. I've been hesitant to make any improvement since there is a roof leak above the garage. New...

Just a quick update from this past weekend...knocked out some shelves for my son's room. Nothing fancy but they get they job done. I've used this design in the past for his old room and it works well. Being able to see the covers makes the nighttime routine of picking a few books go slightly...

Nice update. At first, I was thinking just cheat with a backsplash type trim. However, seeing it in place, it looks clean without it and I think it was worth the effort.

Your patch turned out great. As for the finishes on the walnut, I like the left two on your sample. You might want to try to change out the outlet to be a quad receptacle, possibly with usb ports. I have quad outlets in one built in, one with usb and the other with surge protection so I can...

Thanks Bret. The pictures present much better but I suppose that's usually the case. We all can quickly find the flaws in our own work. Thanks Squashman. Nick - I should have clarified, when we were thinking glass doors, they would have been heavily frosted. The flooring is hickory. I've...

Oh, and I almost forgot, made my first Gregor pizza this weekend. I mean, is it really Garage Journal if I don't post a pizza pic? There will be many more of these in the future.

Ok - now for a long overdue post. I've been putting it off because I didn't want to dig through my old pictures. This weekend, I finally finished a long overdue project (mostly :lol_hitti). I've been renovating our living room for almost 2 years now. I did a solid 3 months of work, then the...

I got the Kreg jig for shelf pins. It works surprisingly well and I think fairly priced. I'll second the water based finish for keeping a clear yet protective finish. I've been using Minwax Polycryilc with some success. Just be careful with sanding because I have found that it can show through...

I always bring the tape, square, and saw when I pick up lumber now. I had to pick up so 16' 2x6's one day and precariously strap them to my truck with no racks. I ordered them online for curbside pickup and had planned to bring a trailer to pick them up. Lowes was so slow and it took several...

Some might look down on that title but I take it as a compliment. I'll try to to pretty much anything. None of this stuff is rocket science. Between YouTube, forums like this, and some determination, you can get pretty good results at nearly everything. I think mastering something to 90% is...
