What did you do "IN" your garage today?

A shocking portion of our time with the builder and architect were around the garage. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but very single contractor has commented on how nice that garage is going to be. ~2000sqft house and 1250sqft of garage.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

My new house and garage are still under construction, but we're far enough along that I finally got a chance to put my car in the new garage and get a feel for it. The shallow stalls where my car is, are 28ft deep and the deeper stall is 38ft deep. I'm beyond excited for this space.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

It wont be needed during the summer, but I'll start pumping heat into the slab in the fall and keep it warm until spring.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

This is setup to run hot water through to heat the slab, which in turn heats the garage. You can set them up to also circulate cold water if you want to cool the space, but I didn't go that far. Here in North Dakota USA we see -40°F pretty much every winter, this should keep the garage...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Not in the attached garage. However we're planning a ~35x55ish shop behind the house where I'd really like to put a recessed scissor lift.

Second guessing in floor heat for 30x40 shop

100% agree. I'm in Fargo as well and breaking ground on a new house today in Colfax ND, I'm pinching pennies to have floor heat in the ~1250sqft garage and in the basement.

Pros and Cons of floor radiant heat

I'm about to start building my new house with floor heat in the basement (~2000sqft) and garage (~1350sqft), I'm doing all the insulation and tubing myself to save a few bucks. Are there any tips or tricks you guys have for laying the tubing? I've never done it before, and it seems straight...

How many socket sets do you own?

How are we counting this? Is a set, for example, 3/8th drive metric six point shallow set a set? IF that's how we're counting this... A lot. In my main garage box I have 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drive sets, in shallow and deep, metric and standard, and six and 12 point. Plus metric and standard...

    Menard’s ditching Craftsman?

I've seen similar in Fargo ND. It's not quite completely gone, but a whole lot more sparse than it was a year ago. My guess is that they want to push the Masterforce brand.

Depends on how tall you are, you can get a car to about 6'6" off the ground. I'm 5'11" and can walk comfortably under it. If you're 6'3" or taller, you probably want to consider the taller versions. The car in the pic isn't quite at full height.
