$369 is still a great deal. looks like the $359 coupons are almost phased out. bet they'll start printing $379 coupons w/in the next few months. they were selling like crazy when i got mine. hf manager said they might get a few in every week & they're sold w/in a day or two.

i too was looking at those danmar 4-post lifts @ costco a few years back. iirc, costco won't mark anything up >14%, so costco's cost would have been ~$1600 at the time. didn't buy it because i didn't have room for it then. i'd snap one up in a second if they started carrying them again.

Re: Recomend a Creaper x2, & they can be had for less with the occasional coupon. more comfy than the old school wooden one that was replaced.

tearing out those existing "trusses" would be a big job, but the right way to go. those things look awful. that said, if funds & time were tight, i'd probably sister on a joist to those trusses & connect them to the rafters on each side of the garage like the poster mentioned above. i doubt...

same here. code is to have a vapor barrier between the insulation/studs & the wallboard. exterior gets housewrap.

I LOL'd (sorry). Who responds like that in this day & age? All he had to say was that the tool was new & a lot of the bolt heads look like that (even if it is a fib). Then let you know it has a full manufacturer's warranty should something happen with the bolts & you'd be on your way.

guy @ work used lowe's for his new roof, as he expected them to be lowe's employees & professional, or at least vetted pros. what he got was some handyman who goobered up his roof, didn't return his calls, & had to call lowe's to have a different handyman come out & fix the other guys mistakes...

i noticed that their coupons are becoming much scarcer, at least outside of the internet. not many ads in the newspapers anymore. chinese labor is getting more expensive, along with the price of steel.
