The particular rare situation that the planets will align where there would be a power failure, and I would need to open this door to get some heavy equipment out is simply so remote. but I would like to have the capability to do this if I needed to I just need a way to get the power up there...

Yes exactly….i now think i should have a couple 115v circuits in this for lights. It wouldn't run for very long, just long enough to open and close the doors when needed in a power failure! I have this brand in my home in Northern Virginia 10-12 circuits. But yes, at the very least, i am leaning...

This is not a small garage door door. Thinking this thing through, there is a reason there is not a manual release on this thing. It is a BIG HEAVY door. Just imagine figuring out a manual release for this door……what happens? The whole thing comes crashing down….and what would that accomplish...

Power has been restored!

This is not a business, this is a private heavy equipment shop. We have every tool, cutting implement or hydraulic lift you can think of-the over looked issue here is the occasional power outage. Thanks for responding….I am done.

Storms cause blow downs and power failures. A worker was in the shop working on his work truck and the power went out. His TRUCK is stranded inside with no way to open or close the shop doors to get his truck out until the power comes on. the door motor is way up in the ceiling 16-20ft wired...

It is more fun to design the part in fusion360 and print it all at once. But 3D filament is not for this application. Too much force on the handle when opening and closing the door or lock. Thanks for responding.

I contacted ANDERSON this morning and we did a video conference and he looked at the door and issue. Even though it is out of warranty, they are sending me a set of these free of charge.

I have a Prusa mk4s. could be easy, standard threads, fusion360 is robust but i need metal for security and durability. Prusa is open sourced, prusaUSA is in DE.
