The midtronics pbt200 & pbt300 will do alternator and starter tests.

I have 2 midtronics an older pbt200 and a pbt300 they both work wonderfully and would recomeend them highly. Had the oldcarbon pile tester my thought is you are just dead shorting a battery. I have a toaster one also but it is no better that the carbon pile tester.

I think the top box has greater value a guy with a rat rod that would be just the ticcket to fit in. The mac bottem I would 300 for in these parts.

I bought the 1" drive sliding t-bar off the mac truck. It is there expert line and it was $60. I don't own any 1" drive sockets but the shop.does and iit gives less than a 3/4 drive withan adaptore on it.

I use a 40 inch 3/4 drive breaker bar with a 1 1/8 socket for removing axles on semi tractors to prep them for towing. I watch in amazement when I go to the cat equipment dealer and they are using a spline drive gun hooked to a diesel air compressor turning 5 inch plus fasteners.
