    E.J. Potter Pulling Tractor Project

I love it but my first thought is that EJ would roll over in his grave if he saw his tractor that pretty. Spent the night at at his place once back in the 80s on our way back from a pull in Toronto. Quite the genius. Talk about bringing back memories H

Just so you don't confuse yourself, I think you are on #6 compression stroke. #1 would have both dots at 12 oclock. You have it lined up properly. The crank turns twice for every turn of the cam. This is a moot point, just don't want you frustrating yourself. H

What happens if you turn the ign key to the run position and the crank it with a starter button on the solenoid. If you do not have a starter button, you could jump the solenoid with a screw driver. Just make sure it is not in gear. I have had some that have power to the coil in the run position...

Anything you wish you had under the slab? (other than radiant)

I made a grid of 3" channel that is flush with the concrete with provision for the ground of a welder. When you do fabrication, you can weld stands to this grid and everything is level and grounded. Only one cable to mess with and it will stay in place. Makes it easy to screed the concrete as...

How involved is it to remove laminate counter tops?

We coated our laminated counter tops with a product from Lowe's that was called stone something. We cleaned the tops and put on a primer, coated it with a sand type mixture and then a clear epoxy over top. Took a few days but well worth it. It is about 4 years old now and standing up well. Would...

    Insulation for boiler question

I am modifying my coal fired boiler and want to reinsulate the outside. It is 24" in diameter and 8' tall. I have had the fiberglass pink insulation wrapped around it and covered with sheet metal but am thinking about using spray foam instead. I was at Lowes today and just got confused about all...
