FWIW I've had exactly one warranty experience with Wright, an extension with a jammed ball so the sockets would fall off. Called them up, told story and they sent a new one. Your mileage may vary.

I'm guessing the head of that bolt may have snapped off by now. If so it looks like there is an oil pan bolt directly in line with it. Drilling through that hole for the oil pan bolt from the bottom may be possible. Pretty sure those pan bolts are 8mm so the hole ought to have enough clearance...

If the rubbing block isn't parallel to the cam it might wear quickly on the "high" point hence altering dwell and timing. Explained in the catalog description posted up by 3baygarage. The tool ostensibly put over the cam and rotated, the knurling removing material from the soft rubbing block...

Seems to this guy it might make sense to soak the ratchet in light oil before use. After use again in oil positioned so the heavier water could flow out/down.
