Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT GrainBelt Garage - An Iowa Garage & the Projects Inside

Also, post a picture of the front axle. GM was no longer using Dana 44's by '82, so from the factory, that Jimmy would have had GM 10 bolts front and rear. Martin

Also '90-'91 V10 Suburbans with TH700R4/4L60's if you are using a 4L60E. If you use a 4L80E you will need a 32 spline input shaft on the NP241. Those can be found in any '90-'91 Blazer, Jimmy, or Suburban with an SM465, or any '90-'91 V20 Suburban. Technically that Jimmy is not a "K5". That...

The road box was not as wide as the tool chest it was sitting upon. Do you need a picture? Martin

What is the point in 12 point sockets?

Less time spent clocking. Six point sockets are annoying unless you have a rusty/worn fastener. Martin

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Little Garage in the Big Woods

I love '73 Corvettes. The chrome rear combo/urethane front is a great look. I own a lot of old junk, so a tap and die set is invaluable. Martin

Snap-On vs Knipex Snap Ring Pliers

Is that how you pronounce Knipex? I have always heard/said Nigh Pex. Martin

Snap-On vs Knipex Snap Ring Pliers

Most convertibles snap ring pliers are junk. The Snap-On ones are an exception to the rule. Martin

    Snap-On Sockets

All of my chrome sockets are 12 point, and all of my impact sockets are 6 point. I then have a bunch of random 12 point impact sockets for specific applications. I will always reach for a 12 point socket instead of a 6 point, unless I am fighting a fastener. Martin

Sunday was beautiful. My family went down to my sister’s place South of Johnson. Then the wife and I and our youngest cruised down 75 and got on 36 by Fairview. When we were driving by Hiawatha I talked about your thread with my wife for a few minutes. Martin

    Cornwell Blue Power Angle Wrenches

The biggest reason a 15/60 is worthless (besides what Tekton's animation clearly shows) is that your standard combination wrenches already have a 15 degree end on them, so you are only gaining one end of the angle wrench over what you already have. Martin

Above 1200 Sq/FT Out on Quaker Road

When I worked for a Deere dealership years ago, I had to take all of the suitcase weights off the back of a 9400 trade in, and put them on the 9420 replacement. That was a fun job! Martin

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Little Garage in the Big Woods

Just finished reading through this thread. Cool garage, even cooler cars. Love those '73 Corvettes, especially the big block green car. Ever think about enclosing the lean to/car port side of the garage? How did the new neighbors turn out? Martin

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT GrainBelt Garage - An Iowa Garage & the Projects Inside

Yeah, I live a little over an hour from Grand Island, where Case IH builds their combines. You should have seen the hundreds and hundreds of brand new combines sitting outside, waiting for parts. Stuff happens. Deal a lot with auto steer and such then? Having anything to do with the seat switch...
